How Do You Get Ready For A First Modeling Audition In Less Than 2 Days?
I’m 15. I’m going on my very first modeling audition. ANY advice would be helpful, i’m nervous as hell because i’ve sent my pics to so many agencies & this is the one who would like to see me in person.

BEFORE:
September 16, 2009 9:16 pm | #1a) make sure your nails are clean (no nail varnish), polished and shaped.
b) clear up your skin as much as possible, (don’t wear makeup for the next two days)
c) do not drink fizzy drinks or eat fatty/salty/sugary foods (you will bloat making you appear bigger)
d) make sure you have your portfolio ready or any other photos
e) make sure you get plently of sleep these next 2 days
f) your teeth must be clean, do not smell, shave [legs, underarms, etc] (basic hygiene really),
g) eyebrows groomed would be good as well.
h) drink water (help clear skin)
THE DAY:
a) makeup should be basic
– mascara (not much)
– foundation (little as possible or none)
– curl eyelashes
– blusher
– lip balm
b) clothes should also be basic
c) high heels (not OTT ones though)
d) NUDE UNDERWEAR (if the agency want to see in different clothes, this is needed!)
e) smile!
f) relax. im sure you’ll do great

Just look very presentable and be punctual.
September 16, 2009 9:27 pm | #2Get there maybe 10 minutes your actual appointment, do your hair, wear natural make up not to drastic look as natural as possible, don’t wear jeans. Wear an outfit that you can easily change if they wish to see you
on something different. Drink a lot of water, exfoliate your skin the night before and have a good sleep.
a modeling audition? i just want to make sure its a legit agency; about 80% of them are scams. if these people ask you for a dime, they are not a real agency and are scamming you. barbazon, john robert powers and john casablancas are the biggest scams, but there are thousands of others everywhere. make sure you google their name +”scam” to make sure its a legit place. if it IS, then they will ask you a few questions, snap a few pictures and send you on your way; they either want you or they dont. they dont want you to wear any makeup and your hair should be pulled off your face. a real agency always prefers a girl wear jeans or fitted pants and a tank top- it shows your figure and its simple- theyre all about simple. if yu come wearing a lot of makeup, they assume youre hiding something. if you are under 5′9, dont wear a sample size (2 or 4) or fit the measurement range though, a legit agency wont have interest, so if you dont fit that mold, you can be certain its a scam. be careful out there!
September 16, 2009 9:59 pm | #3Okay, the first thing you need to know are runway terms, such as “working the t”. Because a lot of the times, they will have you go down a runway. You also need to look your best,don’tt wear jeans orflip flopss, unless you have too. Make sure you are confident, and seem happy to be there. Good luck to you =)

just be yourself, if they like you they like you, if they dont, try again.
