Yes, you can. That’s what that is an AUDITION not employment. If you get selected then THEY need to do the necessary paperwork to get you a different status, like a H2B for example.
YOU CANNOT WORK under a F1 visa unless is under 20 hours a week, inside the college at a minimum salary per hour.

Yeah u can audition for a channel while you are in a F1 visa… if you want to work with them, you need to apply for a work permit ! Good Luck.

I know Americans who are members of the Screen Actors Guild who can’t get an auditon for Disney Channel Movies.
If you get cast, the company will expedite the required paperwork so that you can work in the project;
That’s all we need, another foreigner taking the bread and butter away from an American citizen who is a SAG member.
Hire union American actors not foreigners for American films.
