   Unless they are holding open auditions, one would need an agent to pitch you to the casting people. A good agent will not take you unless he is convinced he can help you.

   You have to live in the UK because they want people who have those kind of accents. Last time- when they had auditions for Luna Lovegood and Cho Chang- they were open calls, so anyone could go. The auditions were in London, I think. And I’m pretty sure they made an announcement about when the auditions were going to be at least a week before they were held. I’m not sure if it’s going to be like this for the next two movies, though.

   All I know is that the open auditions are held in the UK..and you have to live in the London/UK area because they want people with that kind of accent….Even lots of the people involved with the movies said, ” This is basically a British production, if we cast american actors then it would partly be an american film.There is no need for a foreign actor or actress in this series of Harry Potter”.
